AUSTIN, September 20, 2016 -- As the Midsize Enterprise Summit Fall conference wrapped up the event in Austin, hundreds of IT leaders and CIOs cast their ballots to nominate the top-performing technology suppliers and solution providers.
The awards were handed out at the inaugural MES XCellence Awards gala which recognizes technology suppliers and solution providers who were best able to articulate their message and value proposition to this influential customer segment over the course of 3 days of intense meetings, keynotes and boardrooms. MES attendees were asked to nominate and vote for those companies that had, in their opinion, best articulated a compelling business value proposition to the midmarket and offered a highly effective technology solution that delivers desired IT capabilities and strong ROI. The annual awards highlight the most distinguished vendor products, solutions and presentations during the MES event. This year a new award was give out for the best international vendor given the increase in MES sponsors from outside the U.S.
The top award winners announced during the evening ceremony were Scale Computing and Sophos which won Best of Show.The Channel Company hosted the awards dinner and ceremony, with Lisa MacKenzie, partner and senior vice president, and Robert DeMarzo, senior vice president of event content and strategy, taking center stage to present the awards. Longtime MES sponsor ShoreTel sponsored the awards dinner and their executivfes kicked off the event with a toast to those who serve the midmarket. Many of the evenining's winners brought their senior leaders and teams on stage to accept the awards, receiving applause and accolades from those gathered.
There were 14 awards presented including a new category—top international vendor—for the strategic IT service and solution providers who participated in the event. Some categories are divided into two—Premier and Event—so that vendors that participated at certain sponsorship levels could be judged equally.
