The Channel Company and CompTIA Team Up to Support IT Channel Growth

Leading organizations partnering on IT channel initiatives and events

WESTBOROUGH, Mass., and DOWNERS GROVE, Ill., July 28, 2016 - The Channel Company and CompTIA today announced a multi-year agreement to collaborate on a variety of initiatives to benefit their channel constituents.

"Our two organizations have a mutual mission and commitment to help the channel succeed and thrive," said Todd Thibodeaux, president and CEO, CompTIA. "We see great opportunities to build on our individual efforts and jointly deliver impactful resources to help our members companies build stronger businesses."

"CompTIA and The Channel Company share a long history in evangelizing and fueling the advancement and growth of the IT channel," said Robert Faletra, CEO, The Channel Company. "Our partnership with CompTIA will be on full display during our XChange 2016 conference, as we honor and celebrate the 2016 winners of the CRN ARC awards."

CompTIA will host the XChange 2016 conference's closing-night activities, including the CRN® ARC Awards Gala followed by an Awards Networking Party. The 2016 CRN® Annual Report Card (ARC) honors top-performing vendors, as evaluated by their channel partners on criteria in product innovation, support and partnership. The prestigious ARC awards continue to give solution providers an outlet to deliver feedback to vendors and recognize those that are best-in-class partners.

The awards ceremony will also feature the induction of the 2016 honoree into the IT Hall of Fame. Founded by CRN and administered by CompTIA since 2010, the IT Hall of Fame includes more than 110 individuals and organizations responsible for major innovations in IT or growth and progress within the channel.

The XChange 2016 conference, the largest, independent gathering of 800+ of the IT channel's premiere solution providers and technology vendors, will be held Aug. 21-23 in San Antonio, Texas.

The Channel Company will be participating in CompTIA ChannelCon 2016. The premier training and partnering event for the IT channel is scheduled for Aug. 1-3 in Hollywood, Fla.

The two organizations have also launched a joint newsletter, The Channel Advocate. The monthly newsletter delivers news, research and resources to help companies power their channels.
