Senior Vice President, North American Channel Sales, Dell EMC

Gregg Ambulos is Senior Vice President of North American Channel Sales for Dell EMC. In this role he is responsible for creating and delivering sales growth across the entire Dell EMC portfolio of products including PCs, Workstations, Servers, Storage, Networking and Services through Dell EMC’s North America ecosystem of more than 40,000 Solution Provider and Distribution partners. 

Ambulos was tapped to lead the Dell EMC NA channel sales organization integration immediately following the historic $67 billion merger of Dell and EMC in September 2016. In addition to his sales responsibilities, as a member of the Global Channels leadership team, Ambulos is actively engaged in developing and executing a highly-differentiated go-to-market strategy based upon the partner program’s core pillars of Simple, Predictable and ProfitableTM.

Prior to assuming his current position, Ambulos was Senior Vice President for EMC’s Global Channel Sales. He has also served as Senior Vice President for Americas Channel Sales, Divisional Vice President of Sales for the Southwest Division, and Regional Vice President of Telecommunications Vertical. Ambulos joined EMC from Hitachi Data Systems.

Ambulos was recognized as one of CRN’s 50 Most Influential Channel Chiefs for 2017. He’s been recognized as a CRN Channel Chief since 2008.

A proven and effective sales strategist and passionate leader, John has nearly 30 years’ technology sales and team management experience, from start-ups to Fortune 500 businesses. Prior to assuming his role as head of Dell EMC Global Channels, John served as Dell’s Global Vice President of Sales Strategy, Operations and Channels.

Before joining Dell, John was Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Computing and Graphics Business Group at AMD. In this role, he was responsible for the full P&L at AMD’s multi-billion dollar Computer Processor and Graphics Business Unit, from engineering to customer. While at AMD, John also held several senior leadership roles including Senior Vice President and Chief Sales Officer; Vice President of America Sales, and Vice President of Worldwide Sales Channel.

An enthusiastic entrepreneur, John co-founded and ran two highly successful, UK-based channel sales organizations: Advanced Technology Inc. and VML Limited. The former was purchased by AMD in 2007.

John is a member of Revenue 50, an invitation-only community of innovative top sales executives. He was honored as Outstanding Leader of the Year and Turnaround Executive of the Year by the 2014 Golden Bridge Awards.

Tom Deierlein is the co-founder and CEO of ThunderCat Technology a systems integrator that specializes in data center solutions for the federal government. Deierlein is a 1989 graduate of West Point, a successful serial entrepreneur, Airborne Ranger, and Wounded Warrior. In 2017 ThunderCat was ranked No. 69 on the CRN Solution Provider 500 and a four-time member of the Tech Elite 250.  ThunderCat has also spent more than five years on the Inc. 5000, and was named by Forbes as one of America's Most Promising Companies.  Deierlein started his career working in sales for Johnson & Johnson and Parametric Technology Corp. in the mid-90's.

A Bronze Star and Purple Heart recipient, Deierlein is a retired U.S. Army Major and Operation Iraqi Freedom Vet. In September 2006, he was shot by a sniper and critically wounded. Originally told he may never walk again he has since completed the Army 10-Miler and two triathlons.  He has been quoted and featured in Forbes, The New York Times, NBC Nightly News, Wall Street Journal, and FOX News.

In the Fall of 2006 he co-founded the Tom Deierlein Foundation www.tdfoundation.org which provides aid to children of wounded warriors and fallen heroes. The foundation helps American Veterans’ families in crisis. Deierlein is a Certified Peer Mentor with Wounded Warrior Project and USSOCOM Care Coalition.  He earned a master's of science in systems management from the University of Southern California in 1993 and an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business in 2000.

Pat Gelsinger joined VMware in September 2012 and serves as the company’s CEO. Before VMware, Gelsinger led EMC's Information Infrastructure Products business as president and chief operating officer, overseeing engineering and operations for information storage, data computing, backup and recovery, RSA security and enterprise solutions as well as the office of the CTO. Prior to EMC, Gelsinger spent 30 years in numerous technical, management and executive roles at Intel, where he began his career. He led Intel's Digital Enterprise Group, the company's largest business unit and was responsible for enterprise products including the Xeon and Itanium processors. He also led the Desktop Products Group responsible for desktop processors, chipsets and motherboards for consumer and commercial customers. Gelsinger was Intel's first chief technology officer, and as the head of Intel Labs he led many of the company's research initiatives. He was also the architect of the original 80486 processor and a design engineer on the 80386 and 80286 processor design teams. Gelsinger holds six patents in the areas of VLSI design, computer architecture and communications, is a well-known speaker on technology trends, and has received a variety of industry awards. He earned an associate's degree from Lincoln Technical Institute in 1979, a bachelor's degree from Santa Clara University in 1983 (magna cum laude) and a master's degree from Stanford University in 1985, all in electrical engineering. In 2008, he was named a Fellow of the IEEE and awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Letters in 2008 from William Jessup University.

Server instance hours consumed by AWS Marketplace exceed 300 million hours per month. Prior to joining AWS, McCann was the CEO of venture capital-backed customer messaging SaaS company, Varolii Corp. Prior to that he served as the general manager of Windows Server product strategy at Microsoft, VP of content management at IBM/FileNet , and  SVP of client/server at Unisys. He has also run two  other SaaS startups in Southern California and Seattle. McCann earned his Master’s degree in economic history & english, from Glasgow University.

Prior to this role, Jeff worked at Quest Software as the Vice President of Americas Channel Sales.  Focusing on working with partners in the Americas, driving joint business growth and service customers of all sizes. In this role, Jeff lead an aggressive expansion of channel VAR and Distribution partners in North America and Latin America.

Before joining Quest Software Jeff was Vice President of Channel Strategy and SMB Sales at Hewlett Packard Enterprise.  Jeff also held various senior leadership roles, including Senior Director of the Americas HP Storage Business Unit product management and marketing Organization, where Jeff’s team was responsible for the marketing and business management of HP’s $1B+ Storage business in the US, Canada, and Latin America.

McCullough received a BA from Marquette University. He resides with his family outside of Chicago, Illinois.

Frank Rauch is Vice President of VMware’s Americas Partner Organization. In this role, he is responsible for indirect routes to market for the Americas which include, Solution Providers, Corporate Resellers, Public Sector Partners, OEMs (Cisco, Dell, EMC, HP, IBM, Lenovo, Net App, VCE), System Integrators / System Outsourcers, and Distributors.

Prior to VMware Frank was HP’s Americas Vice President and General Manager of Enterprise Channels. He also held VP roles in strategy and direct sales with HP. Frank started his career with IBM in sales and executive staff roles.

He and his teams have been recognized with over 40 channel awards. Frank has been personally recognized with 5 Channel Chief awards and has been ranked in the top 25 Channel Executives.

Frank is a graduate of Drexel University with degrees in Marketing and Computer Systems Management. He lives in the Philadelphia area and is active with youth ice hockey and on several non-profit boards.

Richardson graduated from Boston College’s Carroll School of Management with a BS in computer science and marketing.
