Michael McClure has been in the IT field for over 20 year, serving as an IT Director for the last ten. He currently works at Rogue Community College, a two-year college in Oregon with three campuses.His focus is primarily on Network Security, WAN Management, Cloud Resource Management, 0365, and DR. McClure is an Army Veteran and a volunteer for Make-A-Wish Oregon for the past 7 years. McClure also the Oregon Captain of a Charity and Family-based international beard club called the Bearded Villains.
Michael is the Sr. IT Manager / End User Technologies and Project Management for Gesa Credit Union. In his position, Michael is responsible for IT Security, corporate and branch computing environments, data center and telephony operations as well as large projects for the IT Department. Michael joined Gesa in 2012 as Project Manager – IT where he was tasked with providing project management oversight for Gesa’s core Credit Union software conversion. Prior to Gesa, Michael has worked for multiple organizations in varying roles, working both as an individual contributor and in management where he has been responsible for everything from implementing enterprise security patching policies and procedures to managing telephony infrastructure and data center operations at a nuclear facility.
Michael earned an undergraduate degrees in Finance, Operations and Information Technology from Pacific Lutheran University and a MBA in Technology and Innovation Management from Pacific Lutheran University as well as Post-Graduate Certificates in Management and Leadership, Technology, Operations and Value Chain Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management.
Additionally, Michael is the co-owner of Die Empty CrossFit and an NCAA basketball official.
Adam Leisring is Senior Director of Information Security for Paycor, one of the largest independently held Human Capital Management companies in America. He oversees Information Security for Paycor’s 1600 associates as well as Paycor’s 30,000 clients of their award-winning Software as a Service product. In past positions, he has served in leadership roles including Technical Services and Operations, Enterprise Architecture and Software Engineering. Adam holds CISSP and CISM certifications as well as a Master’s Certificate in Corporate Information Security. Adam is a volunteer in ISC(2)’s Safe and Secure Online program which spreads security awareness to children at local schools. In his free time, he enjoys playing trumpet in various local non-profit groups and ensembles.
Doug Pointious currently serves as a BI Analytics Executive with Amerisure Insurance. He is an innovative technology executive, who has gained extensive expertise in strategic planning and complex solution delivery for an array of very successful business and information technology ventures. Pontious’ broad experience includes accomplishments ranging from designing, developing, and implementing high-performance technical architectures to leading a large Business Process Outsourcing organization.
As a seasoned global leader, Doug Pontious has accumulated significant operational, marketing, and customer service related business expertise in delivery of sophisticated enterprise application suites and advanced Business Intelligence frameworks. He has also established a strong business acumen from a diverse base of industries including insurance, financial services, and healthcare. All gained while serving in vital executive positions with a passion for designing transformational business solutions and developing highly professional teams.
Terry Orletsky begins his 50th year in IT in 2018. He started in the business as a mainframe operator with punch cards and magnetic tape in 1969 in Canada. Orletsky became a programmer by necessity and spent more than a decade working for a large wholesaling concern. Orletsky joined The Ken Blanchard Companies in 2003 as Vice President of Information Technology and helped shape their I.T. posture into a solid platform that now serves a global company with double the revenue. Orletskly was named I.T. Executive of the year in San Diego in 2013 and 2015 in the large privately held company category. He is a member of the San Diego CIO Roundtable, AITP, and SIM.
Herman Brown serves the City and County of San Francisco as the CIO for the SF District Attorney’s Office. His private-sector mentality and a track record of success, proved valuable contributions to the City & County for the last 5 years. With over 25 years of experience in IT, Herman’s managed several enterprise initiatives that consolidated services, streamlined processes, and lowered overall city operating costs. His experience spans various industries; defense, manufacturing, healthcare, software development, advertising and now local government. Herman’s aims to bring efficiency, transparency, and productivity to government by leveraging technology. As CIO for the DA’s Office, Herman leads the effort to transform a government law firm laden with paper to a digital one that rivals any private sector organization.
Since 2008, Anh Tran has been the IT Manager for the City of El Monte, located approximately 12 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, the ninth largest city (out of 88) in Los Angeles County with a population of approximately 120,000. Under his leadership, the IT division provides technological support for all IT infrastructures, projects, and initiatives. Prior to joining the City of El Monte, Tran was the IT Manager for Hathaway-Sycamores Child and Family Services, a highly respected mental health and welfare agency with 11 locations throughout Southern California.
Ben Cranmore has been involved in the Computer business since 1972 when all you needed was a degree and the ability to spell the word computer to be employed on data processing. His first position was IT dept manager for General Dynamics in 1972. His long career has included working in both large and small corporations, as well as self-employment in the software development business for 10+ years. Currently, Cranmore serves as the Chief Information Officer for Furniture Mart USA. He created the IT department in 2003 with just one other person, and over the last 15 years, he has developed the IT function into a 9-member team capable of taking on Virtualization (even Hybrid) cloud implementations, conversions, very large development projects, (where it made sense - avoiding where it did not). Cranmore holds a BS degree in Computer Science and Business management and a MS degree in project management with emphases in Information Technology. Furniture Mart USA’s immediate efforts embrace network security working with a Fortune 500 security consultation company, over the next 2 - 4 months we will be heavily involved in the computer security arena.
Jason Mason is a seasoned IT professional with over 20 years of experience implementing data center systems, running operations in IT and facilities while keeping ahead of the ever changing environment technology presents. He has spent the last 15 years with a media company, focused on the home building industry, and has been able to successfully navigate them through a digital transformation during one of the most turbulent times for both media and home building. Not afraid of change, Jason recently took a new role as Senior Vice President of Information Technology at Winsight Medea. He keeps contracts short and uses cutting-edge technology to his advantage. He treats his staff with respect, promotes from within and earns the dedication and respect of the folks that work for him and with him.
Dr. Allan Friedman is Director of Cybersecurity at the National Telecommunications and Information Administration in the U.S. Department of Commerce. He coordinates NTIA’s multi-stakeholder processes on cybersecurity, convening cross-sector working groups with a focus on resilience in a vulnerable ecosystem. This has included pioneering government engagement on coordinated vulnerability disclosure, IoT security, and software component transparency. Prior to joining the federal government, Friedman spent over 15 years as a noted cybersecurity and tech policy scholar at Harvard’s Computer Science Department, the Brookings Institution and George Washington University’s Engineering School. He is the co-author of the popular text Cybersecurity and Cyberwar: What Everyone Needs to Know. Friedman has a degree in computer science from Swarthmore College and a PhD in public policy from Harvard University.
Sandra M. Lambert, CEO of Lambert & Associates, specializes in cybersecurity and business continuity consulting with clients worldwide. She is a published author and frequent conference speaker. Prior to consulting, she was the CISO at Citibank and Security Pacific Bank where she transformed cybersecurity from a perceived nuisance into a revenue source. Lambert served on the National Computer System Security & Privacy Advisory Board and is vice chair of the ANSI Standards X9F4 Working Group on Cybersecurity & Cryptographic Solutions. She is the founder of the Information Systems Security Association and chair of the ISSA Education Foundation. Her credentials include a Certified Information Systems Security Management Professional (CISSP-ISSMP), CGEIT, CCP and CISA.
Harry Perper is a principal systems engineer for the Mitre Corp., a non-profit operated National Cybersecurity Federally Funded Research and Development Center for the National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence within NIST. In his role as principal systems engineer, Perper is responsible for designing and building solutions to tackle some of the nation’s most pressing cybersecurity challenges. Prior to the NCCoE, Perper worked in Mitre’s center for national security, leading teams focused on evaluating a range of cyber technologies for the U.S. Defense Department. Prior to that, Perper worked in the telecommunications industry in various capacities including operations, engineering and marketing. Perper has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Maryland and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the George Washington University.
