Under his leadership, the IT division provides technological support for all IT infrastructures, projects, and initiatives. Prior to joining the City of El Monte, Tran was the IT Manager for Hathaway-Sycamores Child and Family Services, a highly respected mental health and welfare agency with 11 locations throughout Southern California.
Ben Cranmore has been involved in the Computer business since 1972 when all you needed was a degree and the ability to spell the word computer to be employed on data processing. His first position was IT dept manager for General Dynamics in 1972. His long career has included working in both large and small corporations, as well as self-employment in the software development business for 10+ years. Currently, Cranmore serves as the Chief Information Officer for Furniture Mart USA. He created the IT department in 2003 with just one other person, and over the last 15 years, he has developed the IT function into a 9-member team capable of taking on Virtualization (even Hybrid) cloud implementations, conversions, very large development projects, (where it made sense - avoiding where it did not). Cranmore holds a BS degree in Computer Science and Business management and a MS degree in project management with emphases in Information Technology. Furniture Mart USA’s immediate efforts embrace network security working with a Fortune 500 security consultation company, over the next 2 - 4 months we will be heavily involved in the computer security arena.
Jason Mason is a seasoned IT professional with over 20 years of experience implementing data center systems, running operations in IT and facilities while keeping ahead of the ever changing environment technology presents. He has spent the last 15 years with a media company, focused on the home building industry, and has been able to successfully navigate them through a digital transformation during one of the most turbulent times for both media and home building. Not afraid of change, Jason recently took a new role as Senior Vice President of Information Technology at Winsight Medea. He keeps contracts short and uses cutting-edge technology to his advantage. He treats his staff with respect, promotes from within and earns the dedication and respect of the folks that work for him and with him.
